For decades, EGRA has been a guar­an­tee of first-class ideas and prod­ucts in­volv­ing high volt­age tech­nol­o­gy and elec­tro­stat­ics.
The com­pa­ny's his­to­ry be­gan with an ex­traor­di­nary man: The founder, Egon Graf, who first made a name for him­self in the ear­ly for­ties when he built an elec­tric mo­tor­bike, set him­self the goal of build­ing elec­tric ca­pac­i­tors marked by two main char­ac­ter­is­tics: high-qual­i­ty man­u­fac­tur­ing com­bined with con­sis­tent­ly high re­li­a­bil­i­ty. So, from 1945 on­wards he start­ed mak­ing the first ca­pac­i­tors for ra­dios - al­ter­nat­ing cur­rent ca­pac­i­tors for elec­tric mo­tors and Tes­la trans­form­ers.

EGRA has re­mained ded­i­cat­ed to this high lev­el of qual­i­ty to this day. Dur­ing the course of the com­pa­ny's his­to­ry, the range of prod­ucts has changed as a re­sult of our con­stant new de­vel­op­ments. In the fifties, EGRA start­ed man­u­fac­tur­ing starter ca­pac­i­tors for flu­o­res­cent tubes. Just a few years lat­er, EGRA found the prod­uct area where this in­no­va­tive com­pa­ny has now been at home for decades:
the de­vel­op­ment and pro­duc­tion of high volt­age ca­pac­i­tors. Many oth­er high volt­age tech­nol­o­gy prod­ucts have been added since then.
